MDIBL Holds Maine Record for Charity Navigator's Top Rating

MDIBL is the only nonprofit organization in Maine and one of very few in the U.S. to have received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for six consecutive years.  Charity Navigator is America’s premier independent charity evaluator.  A 4-star rating is the highest it gives, signifying that the organization “exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its cause.”  Farhana Arastu of Charity Navigator says they currently evaluate 5,481 charities on their website at www.charitynavigator.org, but only 2.54 percent of those charities have received the top rating for six or more consecutive years
