Residential Housing at MDIBL

Welcome to the MDIBL housing directory. Please note that cottages at MDIBL are similar to traditional rustic summer cottages found throughout rural and seaside America; they are open stud structures built on beautiful sites but designed for practicality and necessity. Because of this you may not find all the amenities that you have at home. MDIBL cottages include gas hearths, electric or gas ranges, refrigerators, toaster ovens or microwaves, sofas, beds, and standard bathroom facilities. There is no air conditioning in the cottages and they are not insulated. MDIBL provides standard cookware, dishes, and silverware. The occupant must furnish blankets, linens, and towels.
As a way to increase the comfort level for cottage residents, MDIBL offers a $75 cottage improvement allowance per half season. These funds may be used to purchase non-consumable houseware items. The staff at MDIBL understands the unique nature of the cottages and is always available to help you or answer questions. For specific questions, please contact Charles Wray (cwray@mdibl.org, 207-288-9880 ext. 125).
