The Co-op

The Co-op is one hub of the campus. Open 24/7 throughout the summer, it is where all students and many PIs eat their meals. Lunch is very popular at the Co-op, and most of the campus congregates there each day to share stories and discuss research.
The MDIBL culinary staff cooks lunch and dinner each day. A self-serve breakfast is available daily. Family Night dinner is held Friday evenings from late June until the end of August.
The Co-op is similar to a college's student union--it has a TV, dart board, table tennis, and other games and activities. Students often congregate in the Co-op after their scientific work is done for the day.
As the name suggests, the Co-op is partially cooperative. All users are expected to contribute to the cleanliness and general atmosphere of the Co-op.
